Dandong Port Group Chairman Wang Wenliang signs Tonghua International and Inland Port Services Area Cooperation Agreement  2017-06-01

   On the morning of July 14, Dandong Port Group Chairman Wang Wenliang and Tonghua Inland Port Services Leaders concluded and signed a cooperation agreement at the Dandong Mountaintop Hotel. Dandong Municipal Secretary Sun Zhaolin, City Mayor Shi Jian, Tonghua Municipal Secretary Jin Yuhui, and City Mayor Qiao Heng, as well as various other party leaders, attended the signing ceremony.

  The agreement stipulates that both parties must adhere to the development principles of “innovation, coordination, greenness, openness, and sharing.” Both parties must work in accordance with relevant state laws and regulations and the principles of “equality and sincerity, superiority via union, mutual benefit, and joint development. The parties must also unite their efforts to promote the construction of Jilin Province as a ‘Window to the South,’ as well as to expedite the development of the Tonghua to Dandong economic belt and the eastern Northeast region.

  Both parties will be using Dandong Port for strategic support; they will use Jilin’s Tonghua International and Inland Port Services Area as a platform for cooperation. The key fields for cooperation include trans-regional goods distribution, the near-port economy, export-oriented industries, and international travel.

  The groups involved in the agreement have committed to offering their full support to the construction and development of Dandong Port. They will henceforth regard Dandong Port as the sole maritime goods distribution center for Liaoning Province’s coastal area. The port will also serve as a key platform for export-oriented, economy-based cooperation.

  Both parties have also committed to offering their full support to the construction and development of Tonghua International and Inland Port Services Area. From now on, they will treat Tonghua International and Inland Port Services Area as Dandong Port’s only East Liaoning Province-based inland node for goods distribution and an important platform for export-oriented, economy-based cooperation.

  At the ceremony, Dandong Port was present to witness both Dandong City and Tonghua City sign the “Cooperative Framework for the Acceleration of Tonghua and Dandong Economic Belt’s Construction Strategy Agreement
